The Ballyhoura Walking Festival is back this May Bank Holiday Weekend!

Friday events will feature a market at Ballyhoura Apple Farm, sessions in the bars and a moon lit walk all based in Kilfinane, Co. Limerick. 

Saturday April 29th will feature 2 class A walks, 1 will be a charity challenge to Galtymore raising funds for the new Carebright dementia hub in Bruff, a first of its kind in Limerick, there will be a restorative yoga class post the climb.

To coincide with this there is a Dolmen walk from the Glen of Aherlow side of the Galty mountains. The afternoon sees a wonderful array of walks including a singles walk which will start at a bar and end in a bar with a happy 7km stroll in between!

A scavenger hunt for the kiddies at the nature trail at the Mountain Bike centre, a meditation walk along the Canon Sheehan Loop walk and more music & song in Kilfinane that night.

Sunday April 30th is a showcase of Ireland Ancient East themed community walks at sites such as Lough Gur, Medieval Kilmallock, Doneraile Court to name a few. All events will be pre registered and bookings will be online by March end. In the meantime, contact reception@ballyhoura.org to be added to the alert list!
