Directions: Bower Hall Farm Steeple Bumpstead is situated 3 miles from Haverhill on the B1057 and 10 miles from Saffron Walden on the B1054. On entering Steeple Bumpstead, follow the signs to Finchingfield (but do not actually leave Steeple Bumpstead).

The road will take you up a hill and you are very close to the outskirts of Steeple Bumpstead when you will see a housing estate on your right. The first road on the housing estate is Bower Hall Drive. Turn right onto Bower Hall Drive. Continue along until you come to the school on your right. Take a left-hand turn opposite the school into Edith Cavell Way. (There is an earlier turning into Edith Cavell Way, but take the one opposite the school). You come quickly to a Y junction. Bear right into George Gent Close. You will now be quite sure that you are in the wrong place! However, if you continue to the end of George Gent Close and turn right, you will find a private drive to Bower Hall Farm. You still cannot actually see the farm from there, but if you come to the top of the drive the attraction is behind the trees. There is plenty of room for parking, also coaches can turn and park safely. NB. If you are coming into the village from Cornish Hall End direction, take the first left when you enter Steeple Bumpstead that is Bower Hall Drive, and then continue as above
