Full steam ahead to the Norfolk Broads

Leave behind the hustle, bustle and stress of everyday living and take a trip to a slower pace of life aboard The Broadland Boat Train at the Bure Valley Railway.

Starting from the historic market town of Aylsham, experience the magic of steam through nine miles of Norfolk countryside before arriving at the Broads town of Wroxham.  Then take to the water and discover the beautiful Norfolk Broads with a leisurely hour and a half cruise with guided commentary.  Group discounts available for 20 or more.

Facilities at the Bure Valley Railway include a café, a model and gift shop and a railway workshop at Aylsham with a souvenir shop at Wroxham.  The Whistlestop Café seats up to 80 people and can provide everything from a cup of tea to a full meal.  A specially priced 2-course group lunch is also available.  There is free coach parking at both stations.  Trains are wheelchair accessible.

The Broadland Boat Train operates on a daily basis from the beginning of April to the end of October.  Alternatively, book one of the Festive Train Packages in November and December – an ideal additional excursion if visiting Norfolk for Thursford!
