Greatdays partners with RHS to offer new garden and flower show packages for groups

Greatdays Holidays, part of Greatdays Travel Group, has announced a new dedicated range of 18 two and three-day group travel packages to RHS gardens and RHS flower shows.

The new packages, which include RHS Garden Bridgewater in Greater Manchester that opens to the public for the first time in summer 2020, also include visits to the Christmas Glow events at RHS Garden Wisley, RHS Garden Rosemoor and RHS Garden Harlow Carr. All offer enhanced visits to the RHS gardens with more time for guided tours and a bespoke lunch.

Commenting on the new packages, Paul Beaumont, Greatdays executive director, says: “Working in partnership with the RHS we’ve put together an exciting range of packages that combines an RHS garden with other local attractions. For example, RHS Garden Wisley and Hampton Court Palace, RHS Garden Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and Castle Howard, RHS Garden Hyde Hall and the Beth Chatto Garden, and RHS Garden Bridgewater and Tatton Park. The new programme also offers short breaks to the RHS flower shows in Cardiff, Malvern, Chatsworth, Hampton Court and Tatton Park, as well as a package combining the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Garden Wisley. The new packages have been designed with RHS affiliated societies in mind, but they are likely to hold huge appeal from any group with a love of gardens. There really is something for every garden lover.”

Melissa Hackney, group sales and marketing manager – RHS Groups, says: “We’re delighted with this new collection of packages from Greatdays. The tour operator has been bringing groups to the RHS gardens and flower shows for 35 years, but this is the first time the team has created a special collection of holidays that focus on groups’ love of gardens. It’s often said we are nation of gardeners, and with around 27 million gardeners in the UK, we look forward to welcoming some of them to our gardens and shows with Greatdays very soon!”

The RHS offers local gardening clubs who meet regularly and promote gardening at a local level the opportunity to become an RHS affiliated society for a small annual fee. This includes many benefits, including one free visit to an RHS garden for up to 55 people.
