NEW BIRD’S EYE VIEW OF WILTSHIRE FROM THE AIR

Stunning new aerial film capturing the beautiful county of Wiltshire has just been launched on www.visitwiltshire.co.uk/videos

For the first time visitors to Wiltshire are able to get a bird’s eye view of the breathtaking countryside and iconic views including the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge and Avebury.

The new film titled ‘What view did you wake up to this morning?’ is the first of a three part series which incorporates Wiltshire’s Timeless branding and aligns with VisitBritain’s Countryside is GREAT campaign.

What View Did You Wake Up To This Morning

Wiltshire’s connection with the past helps visitors appreciate time in the present. Wiltshire is calming, refreshing and puts back what the everyday takes out. The Wiltshire countryside alters with the changing seasons and that’s what makes visitors feel connected not just to nature but to time itself. Wiltshire is timeless wonders, timeless places, timeless pleasures and timeless nature. VisitWiltshire used the latest drone technology made possible by funding from the recent £5m South West Tourism Growth Fund.

Fiona Errington, Marketing Manager, VisitWiltshire said “This footage will encourage more domestic and international visitors to come and see the magnificent Wiltshire countryside and iconic landmarks and views we have. We are working closely with VisitBritain, VisitEngland and VisitWiltshire partners to ensure this is shared online and via social media channels.”

This ‘eye in the sky’ footage makes you feel as though you are flying over Wiltshire and gives you views of a whole host of places like you’ve never seen them before. Amazing attractions include Longleat, Salisbury Cathedral, Bowood, Wilton Windmill, Crofton Beam Engines, Abbey House Gardens and Malmesbury Abbey.

Significant land marks include Stonehenge and Avebury, Old Sarum, Barbury Castle, Caen Hill Locks and the famous White Horses. Iconic views of Silbury Hill, Roundway Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, The Ridgeway and the Kennet & Avon Canal are also featured.
