Showcase Scheduled for 10/11 May- A destination that is ‘full of surprises’ is to welcome the UK travel trade in May.
Watford will roll out the red carpet to coach and tour operators and group travel organisers on Sunday and Monday 10 & 11 May 2020 with the Watford Group Buyer Showcase.
Arranged by Visit Watford, the event is being organised by UK group travel specialists Steve Reed Tourism Ltd.
An ideal opportunity for tour planners to see the attractions, hotels, venues and destinations in this part of Hertfordshire, the buyers will be hosted in local hotels including Jurys Inn Watford where attendees will stay for the night of Sunday 10 May.
Seen as an ideal location for coach parties and groups of visitors, the town features a number of theatres and a recently redeveloped modern shopping centre as well as being located close to iconic attractions such as the Warner Bros.Studio Tour where visitors can follow in the steps of Harry Potter.
The showcase event will include a tour of the town, visits to the attractions, a theatre trip and all meals, entertainment and local guiding. Delegates attending this prestigious set piece will also be able to meet Watford businesses face to face during a special workshop session in Watford as part of the Showcase.
Watford can offer groups the choice of a day trip or coach stop, an overnight stay in a handy local hotel or an extended break or holiday.
‘There’s never been a better time to explore and experience the many delights of Watford,’ says Andrew Kirby, Destination Manager for Visit Watford. ‘We want to illustrate the ease with which coach and tour operators can visit, utilise and base their passengers in our group friendly town – it’s definitely a destination which is an eye opener for many first time visitors and one that lends itself to the needs and requirements of coach parties.’
