Come and visit Brecon Mountain Railway for a great day out. We are located just off the heads of the Valley Road, 3 miles north of Merthyr Tydfil. Follow the mountain railway signs from the A470 and A465.

Brecon Mountain Railway was built on part of the abandoned Brecon and Merthyr Railway which was originally built in 1859 and finally closed in 1964. Travel behind a vintage steam locomotive in our all-weather observation coaches and admire the views.
