Experience Suffolk’s Cathedral! A mix of ancient and modern, St Edmundsbury Cathedral is steeped in history and beauty. A former parish church built in the 16th century, it became Suffolk’s Cathedral in 1914 following the creation of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

A modern expansion began in the 1960s, featuring colourful ceilings and a Cathedral Tower finished in 2005. Visit for guided tours, exhibitions, installations and more! On-site shop and restaurant.
