North Yorkshire Moors Railway 2020 season opening delayed

In light of the current government advice, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway have made the difficult decision to delay the opening for the 2020 season until further notice.

While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) at the railway, the wellbeing of visitors, staff and volunteers is their absolute priority and matters of health and safety have their complete attention.

Due to the uncertainly of this current situation and having to plan ahead for special events they have chosen to cancel the below events and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

•    Volunteer Recruitment Day: 19 April

•    Wedding Fair: 3 May

•    Diesel Gala: 4, 5 & 6 June

•    Behind the Scenes: 6 & 7 June

•    60s Fest: 4 & 5 July

The Railway is a registered charity and rely heavily on donations and of course ticket bookings in order to operate. With this in mind, they ask that if you have a pre-booked ticket, you move your booking to later in the 2020 season where possible. The Railway can also refund your booking by Gift Card to use at a later date. Alternatively, they are happy to move your date of travel/event, to the 2021 season and honour 2020 prices where possible. For refunds on pre-booked tickets full T&Cs are applicable.

When contacting the Customer Service Team, please quote your booking reference. Contact info@nymr.co.uk or telephone 01751 472508 (Monday to Friday 09:00 – 16:30).

Please rest assured that the Railway is closely monitoring the situation and will of course post any updates or changes to these plans across their social channels, and on their website – nymr.co.uk
