Hever Castle is delighted to be supporting the British Heart Foundation as its charity of the year for 2024.

The historic attraction is fundraising for the charity from the start of the season, February 2024, to the end of the Christmas event, 1 January 2025. Visitors can add a donation when they book a ticket online to Hever Castle and donate to the charity throughout the year via collection pots on-site.

Staff launched the fundraising partnership by wearing red and holding a cake sale on 13th February to mark the charity’s Heart Month. The cafes also sold heart-shaped shortbread to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Fundraising Manager Rebecca Honey said: “We are thrilled that Hever Castle has chosen the British Heart Foundation as their charity partner for 2024. Support from visitors to this beautiful and iconic Kent landmark, coupled with staff fundraising throughout the year, will go a long way towards helping us power life-saving science to save lives.

“There are 7.6 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases in the UK, and devastating conditions like coronary heart disease, stroke and vascular dementia cause one in four deaths. Together, we can make a difference by helping people reduce their risk of developing these diseases and live healthier lives, one heartbeat at a time.”

Last year, visitors to Hever Castle raised nearly £20,000 for Hospice in the Weald and the Alzheimer’s Society.
