This summer, the Royal Horticultural Society has a packed schedule of events across all five RHSGardens for a host of fantastic family days out. Guests of all ages can make the most of the season to its fullest with a range of activities across RHS Garden Bridgewater, RHS Garden Harlow Carr, RHS Garden Hyde Hall, RHS Garden Rosemoor and RHS Garden Wisley,
From building giant dens with The Great Woodland Adventure, finding the ultimate inspiration at RHS gardening shows and taking in some of the country’s most spectacular horticulture, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The Great Woodland Adventure 19 July- 31 August
This summer holiday, there is a tree-mendous programme of activities for the whole family across five RHS Gardens, featuring The Great Woodland Adventure. Running on selected dates between 19 July- 31 August, visitors can enjoy wild amounts of fun with activities, including den building, storytelling adventures, and woodland crafts. Each garden will set up a brilliant base camp where explorers can get stuck into everything from forest school to bushcraft skills. All gardens will also host The Big Den Build with the Woodland Tribe on selected days, where young and young at heart can build an epic woodland adventure castle.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall Flower Show 30 July – 3 August
Those looking for the perfect summer day out, RHS Garden Hyde Hall for its annual flower show from 31- 3 August. Visitors will have the chance to browse a range of nurseries selling hundreds of plants, gain inspiration from display gardens and browse a range of garden accessories. There will also be fantastic street food stalls, and live music for the ultimate day out. This year, the flower show will also host the Gardeners’ Question Time Summer Garden Party, where ticket holders will have the chance to meet the Gardeners’ Question Time panellists, ask their burning gardening questions and enjoy conversations on horticulture’s current hot topics.

RHS Garden Rosemoor Flower Show: 15- 17 August
The RHS Garden Rosemoor Flower Show returns for a weekend of floral inspiration, family fun and fantastic shopping. Internationally renowned experts will be on the main stage across both days, sharing top tricks and tips, along with plenty of family entertainment, games, and a full programme of live music on the lawn. In addition to specialist nurseries offering a huge choice of plants, the Orchard Field will have a selection of garden furniture and accessories to appease any garden fanatic.

RHS Garden Wisley Flower Show 3-8 September
Visitors can join RHS Wisley for a late summer floral celebration with the RHS Garden Wisley Flower Show packed with spectacular displays, inspiring talks and brilliant retail. Across the week there will be plenty of shopping opportunities, with specialist nurseries in attendance and fantastic garden and homeware brands. Those who want to show their gardening prowess can join the Visitors’ Dahlia Competition in the National Dahlia Society’s Marquee, which will provide everything you need to stage your own blooms. Hilltop Theatre will host a packed programme of free daily talks from a range of experts, ideal for those looking for expert advice with plenty of food and drink options, making for the perfect day out.
