Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts has revealed it has now completed the roll out of an exciting new attraction, now all in place and open at three of its UK resorts.
Over the last year, Gulliver’s has joined forces with Upside Down House UK to bring an Upside Down House to Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, Gulliver’s World in Warrington, Cheshire and finally to Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
The popular interactive photo attraction, suitable for children and adults of all ages, allows visitors to touch anything within their reach and offers a unique photo experience that defies gravity. Visitors capture many memorable and surreal photos and videos they flip upside down which they share on their socials and messaging platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. It is an experience to share in real time with friends and family. Equally enjoyed by kids or grown-ups!
The Gulliver’s Kingdom Upside House is themed around fairies and is part of the park’s Fairy Kingdom area. The house has a slide from the upstairs level, so children don’t need to use the stairs on the way down, adding an extra fun element to the house. The house at Gulliver’s World is part of a brand-new ‘Land of Oz’ themed immersive area, which also includes two brand new rides. And at Gulliver’s Land, the new house sits in the resort’s Lilliput Land.
Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts is a family-run business with four resorts across the UK. Aimed at families with children aged two to 13 years old, the resorts each offer a great variety of rides, attractions and accommodation options, as well as a calendar packed full of special events throughout the year.
Julie Dalton, managing director of Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, said: “Gulliver’s has been helping to create magical memories for young children and their families for 47 years and we are always looking at ways to bring new and exciting experiences to our parks for our guests to enjoy.
“It has been wonderful to partner up with Upside Down House, which sees a house take pride of place at our Matlock Bath, Warrington and Milton Keynes resorts. They have already been extremely popular and just added something new and different to our offering. We’ve had a lot of fun seeing the pictures being taken and the enjoyment they have brought!”
Since the success of the first house in Bournemouth, Upside Down House Ltd has expanded to multiple locations nationwide, and in other parts of the world, including France, Germany and Australia. Each location is unique, with its own identity. Delivering fun experience to families has always been priority for the quirky attraction and it has been an amazing journey for the Upside Down House Design and Creative Team to create new and unique entertainment structures alongside the team at Gulliver’s.
Alex Barbary, associate director at Upside Down House UK, said “We are very excited to be working in partnership with Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts who are dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for families and visitors of all ages. It has been great fun working with the team at Gulliver’s to pull this off, the innovation and creativity to make the Upside Down House unique to each resort is remarkable!
“Breaking into the UK Theme Park market is a huge milestone for the organisation and reflects our continued growth and ambition. I’m confident that our partnership will enhance the visitor experience and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
